Is it guaranteed to whiten my teeth?

Yes in fact we are so confident we actually show you on the vita shade guide system your current shade colour and where you

will reach once the treatment is finished.

Do I get a choice on how white the teeth will go?

Before we start the treatment we will show you on the vita shade guide on where we would expect you to finish so you can see how white the teeth will look.

How long does the whitening last?

It will depend of several factors including porosity of the teeth, wearing enamel, lifestyle and maintaining good dental hygiene but most customers will experience results lasting 12-24 months. After the initial session any future re-treatments cost just £99.00 making teeth whitening affordable for the future.

How often can I have laser teeth whitening done?

Most people wil only need to have the whitening treatment every year or longer. It is perfectly safe but once you have got your teeth to their whitest point there is little reason to keep having the treatment done.

How long after treatment can I eat and drink after laser teeth whitening?

There is no problem to drink and eat immediately after the treatment you should check our webpage for information on what to eat and to avoid after whitening. Click here for further information.

How much does the treatment cost?

Our prices offer extremely good value for money and if you are looking for a professional whitening company offering guaranteed results we are second to none. We are always running special promotions so click here for prices.

Why does the laser whitening prices differ so much?

There are three elements that typically dictate the cost of laser teeth whitening services.

The first one is the competency of the company and persons doing the treatments. Search in Google and in many cases the negative reviews for these companies speak for themselves. Second is the quality of the products used. Capital use approved and safe non peroxide products which cost more but work very well to whiten the teeth. Last one is the light used to oxidize the gel placed on the teeth. Some treatments are using little more than a low powered light and this is never going to whiten the teeth as effectively.

What is the difference between laser and trays?

The laser system is a fast and efficient way of whitening the teeth that simply takes one hour and the results are immediate with no delays or waiting.

The bleaching trays can be an effective way of whitening the teeth but what comes with them is quite a few challenges and here is just a few.

The trays system requires you to sleep with the trays on your teeth for 14 consecutive nights and this can effect your sleep.

This requires dedication and discipline and increases the chances of sensitivity in your teeth as the accumulative effect of using a peroxide for many hours will make the teeth sensitive just at the point they are starting to whiten which typically results in the trays stop from being used. Whilst using the trays for two weeks you need to avoid any foods, drinks and nicotine which may re-stain the teeth.

Is laser teeth whitening the same as Zoom?

Zoom is a brand of teeth whitening that is similar to our system but like many well known brands you can end up paying a premium for the brand name!

Capital’s light systems are LED and this can be an advantage for anyone with fair skin compared to UV light systems.

Does it hurt?

Generally customers feel no or little sensitivity which disappears between 6-24 hours after the laser teeth whitening treatment.

Are there any side effects from having the treatments?

No other some light sensitivity.

Can laser whitening remove tetracycline stains?

In most cases we can greatly reduce the stains gained from tetracycline and depending on the time the antibiotics were used can be removed altogether.

I have receding gums can I have the treatment?

It is always best to consult your dentist first but we take great care to protect the gums and therefore it is not normally a problem.

What is the minimum age for having laser whitening?

The minimum age for treatment is 18 years old as the tooth is still developing as is safer to leave until the tooth’s structure has fully developed.

What do I need to do after the laser treatment?

Take a look at our after diet page which tells you which foods and drinks you can and cannot consume after teeth whitening.

Do I need to do anything to prepare for Laser whitening?

As long as your healthy and you have no known issues with your gums or teeth then there is no preparation for laser teeth whitening.

Can the treatment all be done in one session?

Yes we undertake the consultation and whitening treatment in just one session taking 90 minutes in total.

You will walk away from one our clinics with an amazing new smile after a single visit.

Does it hurt the enamel?

There is no research to prove any damage is done to the enamel. Capital teeth whitening only source the best quality of whitening gels which are pre-approved assuring top quality every time.

How Does Laser teeth whitening work If I have a crown/cap, veneer or a filling?

Yes this is not a problem as caps/crowns, veneers and fillings go back to their original white colour when they were first fitted.

Generally after laser teeth whitening they clean up and look refreshed after the treatment.

My crown/cap, veneer or filling is whiter than my natural tooth colour will they

look consistent after the whitening?

Yes with laser teeth whitening we can isolate individual teeth and this will result in a consistent colouration across all teeth.

My crown/cap veneer or filling is darker than my natural tooth colour will they look consistent

after laser teeth whitening?

There is a good chance they will look consistent but if natural teeth whiten further then you will need to get your dentist to replace the old cap/crown, veneer or filling to match your new fresher coloured teeth.

I plan on having a filling, cap/crown or veneer replaced soon –

in what should I get the work done?

It is best to get your teeth whitened first as then your dentist will match the teeth to their new fresher, whiter colour.

Why is Capital much cheaper than my dentist?

There are three reasons Capital is cheaper than a local dentist.
1. We do not have the larger overheads of a local dentist and therefore pass those savings on to our customers.
2. We purchase large quantities of teeth whitening products and therefore can drive down the prices from the suppliers
3. A dentist cannot afford to take two hours from his everyday dental work and charge the type of prices that Capital charge.

How many shades will my teeth whiten?

This ranges from one individual to another but we have never failed to whiten anyone’s teeth by less than four shades with many customers achieving ten to twelve shades.

How does it work?

By painting the teeth whitening gel on the teeth the laser oxidises the gel, opens the pours of the enamel which then releases the staining.
This cycle is repeated until the staining is removed from the enamel.

How long does a treatment take from pre-consultation to post consultation?

From pre-consultation to post consultation the whole process takes around one hour and forty minutes.
